Welcome to this new article! This is a subject that I have been asked a lot, and I understand why... In Paris, as in many big cities, it is easy to end up with a hefty bill for a meal that is not worth it.
It is therefore with great pleasure that I share with you my restaurant recommendations in Paris. All establishments mentioned here have been tested and approved by me! To make it easier for you to read, I have classified them by categories:

Italian
Darocco - 6 Rue Vivienne, 75002
This is a great option if you’re looking to dine in an Italian trattoria with beautiful decor: high ceilings, exposed stone walls, and more. For food, I recommend the pizzas or the cacio e pepe pasta.
Price: Between €15 and €49 per dish.
Pizzeria Popolare - 111 Rue Réaumur, 75002
This is a casual dining spot with large communal tables where everyone mixes. They specialize in Neapolitan pizzas, which are excellent! The Mammargherita is a must-try. Bonus: there’s a photobooth to capture your visit!
Price: Between €12 and €20 per dish.
Pastasuta - 2 Rue de la Coutellerie, 75004
This restaurant serves fresh, homemade pasta. A personal favorite is the pasta with pistachio pesto and stracciatella.
Price: Between €17 and €22.
Le Cherche Midi - 22 Rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006
A small Italian bistro open since 1978! They serve seasonal dishes and many Italian specialties. It’s slightly more expensive, but the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. Reservations are mandatory as seating is limited.
Price: Around €25 per dish.
Pink Mamma - 20bis Rue de Douai, 75009
I can’t leave out this gem from the Big Mamma group. Yes, they have many restaurants, but their tiramisu is, in my opinion, the best in Paris. The staff, with their charming Italian accents, adds to the experience, and the beautiful tableware complements the excellent dishes. What more could you ask for?
There’s also a hidden bonus: a speakeasy bar in the basement. Ask at the front desk, and thank me later!

Bambini - Palais de Tokyo, 75116
A trendy restaurant with stunning decor, Bambini serves Italian classics like escalope Milanese and pasta dishes. Here, you’re paying for the ambiance and the breathtaking view. If you can, opt for a terrace seat to enjoy your meal with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Price: Between €26 and €45 per dish.
La Gioconda - 1 Rue Brochant, 75017
A variety of dishes offered: pizzas, pasta, and meats. I recommend the Ravioli ai Carciofi, homemade and absolutely delicious.
Price: Between €13 and €25.
Popine - 108 Boulevard de Ménilmontant, 75020
This spot exclusively serves Neapolitan pizzas in a great setting. The baking is spot-on, and pairing it with a glass of prosecco makes it even better! Special mention for the Mortadella e Pistacchio and the Cinque Formaggi.
Price: Between €13 and €18 per pizza.
Mediterranean
Micho - 46 Rue de Richelieu, 75001
Founded by a chef I admire (hi Julien, if you’re reading this!), Micho offers gourmet sandwiches crafted with seasonal ingredients and inspired by Mediterranean flavors for lunch. In the evening, it transforms into a cozy 70s-inspired venue, serving small sharing plates paired with natural and organic wines. The hallah bread is a must-try!
Price: Sandwiches around €15; small plates between €4 and €14.
Liza - 14 Rue de la Banque, 75002
A chic and contemporary restaurant that takes you on a journey to Lebanon, Liza offers refined Lebanese cuisine. Try their salmon kebbé or the fattet hommos for a true taste of Beirut.
Price: Dishes range between €18 and €25.
Chez Funda - 170 Avenue Ledru Rollin, 75011
Warm and generous, Chez Funda is a small restaurant in the 11th arrondissement offering flavorful and affordable Turkish cuisine. Don’t miss the borek, a baked feta pastry, or their mezze platter for a variety of delights.
Price: Around €15–20 for a complete meal.
Pliage - 82 Rue Championnet, 75018
A Berber restaurant offering authentic Kabyle cuisine made from fresh, homemade ingredients. The menu changes daily, featuring options like tagines, soups, savory tarts, and traditional desserts. Note: They’re only open for lunch on weekdays.
Price: Lunch menu around €12.
Chez Younice - 13 Rue d'Avron, 75020
A gem for lovers of traditional Moroccan cuisine. In a cozy, authentic setting, enjoy dishes like lamb tagine with apricots or a royal couscous. The service is friendly, and the mint tea is a must-have!

Mieux - 21 Rue Saint-Lazare, 75001
Located in the 9th arrondissement, Mieux offers creative and seasonal bistronomic cuisine in a minimalist and elegant setting. The menu changes regularly, featuring dishes like sesame-crusted cod or butternut ravioli. Reservations are highly recommended due to the limited seating.

Au Bourguignon du Marais - 52 Rue François Miron, 75004
An ideal spot to savor traditional French dishes in a charming setting. Known for its carefully selected ingredients and impeccable service, the menu changes frequently and features dishes like boeuf bourguignon or seasonal options.

Les Tontons du Huitième - 8 Rue d'Artois, 75008
A warm and authentic restaurant offering traditional French cuisine in a convivial setting. Classic dishes like boeuf bourguignon and tuna tataki delight diners, and the summer terrace adds a lovely touch.

Poni - 24 Rue Saint-Lazare, 75009
Poni is a modern and trendy bistro offering innovative cuisine, with dishes ranging from poke bowls to tuna tartare and creative vegetarian options. The relaxed ambiance and friendly staff make it a delightful dining spot. Don’t miss the lovely mezzanine—request it when booking!

Bouillon Chartier - 7 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009
A Parisian institution since 1896, Bouillon Chartier is a must-visit for authentic French cuisine at budget-friendly prices. Enjoy classics like braised beef, leek vinaigrette, or traditional desserts. The Belle Époque decor and servers tallying the bill on the tablecloth add to the charm. Visit the original Grands Boulevards location for the true experience.

Café Jeannette - 6 Place Bienvenue, 75015

Le Chalet du 8ème - 8 Rue du Commandant Rivière, 75008

Crêperie Contemporaine 142 - 59 Rue Saint-Charles, 75015
This modern take on Breton classics features gourmet galettes with a twist. Try the smoked salmon, avocado, and lemon cream galette or a salted caramel crêpe. The decor is sleek and contemporary.

Yatai Ramen - 7 Passage Choiseul, 75002
Yatai Ramen, near Pyramides, is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts in Paris. The restaurant is known for its chicken ramen and vegetarian options, including miso and tofu ramen. The only downside is the overly fast service.
Price: Around 15-20 €.
Xiao Long Kan - 8 Rue Saint-Marc, 75002
Experience authentic Chinese hot pot in an immersive setting. Diners can enjoy meats, vegetables, and skewers dipped in spicy and flavorful broths. Even level 1 spice is intense, so proceed with caution! A great spot for a shared meal with friends.
Price: Between 20 and 30 € per person, depending on your choices.
Kodawari Ramen - 29 Rue Mazarine, 75006
This restaurant draws inspiration from yokocho, the narrow alleys of Tokyo filled with izakayas and small eateries. Inside, the ambiance mimics a traditional Japanese market, complete with fish stalls and shelves stocked with Japanese products. The menu features a variety of ramen, such as pork tonkotsu ramen and miso ramen, made with rich broths and homemade noodles. Be prepared for a wait, as it’s often crowded.

Le Petit Thaï - 62 Rue de Bellechasse, 75007
This is another excellent option for authentic and refined Thai cuisine. The setting is warm, and the service welcoming. Not-to-miss dishes include the pad thai, red curry, and spicy shrimp soups.

Ryukishin Eiffel - 20 Rue de l'Exposition, 75007
In an intimate setting, Ryukishin Eiffel serves authentic ramen, with the vegan ramen being a favorite for its rich broth and fresh vegetables. Service is quick, making it a perfect spot for Japanese cuisine lovers.

Pho 520 - 10 Rue de Constantinople, 75008
Known for its traditional phở with rich, authentic flavors, Pho 520 also serves delicious bánh mì and nem. The service is quick, and the atmosphere is laid-back.

Siam City - 19 Rue Ferdinand Fabre, 75015
A pleasant Thai restaurant offering traditional dishes. The menu includes a variety of flavorful options such as papaya salads and spicy soups. The green curry is a standout. With a relaxed atmosphere, it’s perfect for dining with friends or family.

Mizu Ramen - 41 Rue de Saussure, 75017
This is my favorite ramen spot! The pork tonkotsu ramen is a standout, but don’t miss their vegetarian options like the miso ramen, which has bold, pronounced flavors. With very few tables, expect a bit of a wait.

Maslow - 14 Quai de la Mégisserie, 75001
A modern vegetarian restaurant that reimagines plant-based cuisine with a creative and sophisticated approach. The minimalist and contemporary decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features inventive dishes like quinoa salad with preserved lemon and grilled vegetables or avocado and hummus tartines.

Apéti - 21bis Avenue de Ségur, 75007
Apéti serves flavorful, colorful, and balanced dishes. The menu changes with the seasons, but highlights include soy ricotta and grilled vegetable tartines as well as mixed salads with fresh fruit and crunchy vegetables. A special mention goes to their vegetable lasagna.

Faubourg Daimant - 20 Rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010
A chic and modern restaurant offering refined vegan cuisine. The menu includes creative vegan options such as seasonal vegetable croquettes, hearty salads with fresh ingredients, and house-made sauces. A minor drawback is the occasionally slow service.

El Chingon - 66 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009

La Halle aux Grains - 2 rue de Viarmes, 75001
Located in the Bourse de Commerce, this restaurant led by Michel and Sébastien Bras focuses on grain and cereal-based cuisine. Each dish, such as the small spelt risotto or duck with lentils, explores unique textures and flavors. The venue impresses with its contemporary design and breathtaking view of Paris.

Bambou - 23 rue des Jeuneurs, 75002
This chic Thai restaurant combines elegant decor with exotic cuisine. Bambou offers reinvented classics like lobster pad thai or spiced Thai beef. The chef adds a modern touch to every dish. The cozy atmosphere and impeccable service make it a perfect spot for a special occasion.

Voted the best restaurant in Paris in 2023, Sphere embodies modern elegance. Led by an innovative chef, the restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine with international touches. Anona - 80 Bd des Batignolles, 75017
Under the guidance of Thibault Spiwak, Anona holds a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to sustainability. This restaurant offers inventive cuisine, focusing on local and seasonal ingredients. Dishes like tarragon-seasoned John Dory or pressed veal showcase exceptional expertise. The intimate and elegant setting is perfect for celebrating a special moment.

Festive
L'Alcazar - 62 rue Mazarine, 75006
L'Alcazar offers a unique experience combining modern French gastronomy with festive evenings. I highly recommend their Saturday evening Love Night. This lively event includes a dinner show featuring drag queen performances, providing a unique culinary and artistic experience. The menu includes refined creations such as smoked eggplant caviar, lobster bisque, and tataki tuna.
Price: The Love Night menu is €75 for a two-course meal (starter-main or main-dessert) and €90 for a three-course meal (starter-main-dessert).
Coya - 83-85 rue du Bac, 75007
This Peruvian fusion restaurant offers bold cuisine, with dishes such as white fish ceviche or lomo saltado. In the evening, the bar comes alive with a DJ and signature cocktails like the pisco sour. The sophisticated ambiance makes it ideal for an elegant and exotic party.
